Join the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Finger Lakes Chapter for a discussion on how the new rules of engagement on social media are changing marketing strategies. The program will focus on how to create engaging content that brings results, how to leverage the most popular platforms, and how to measure outcomes.
The event, which includes refreshments, will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, at The Hotel Ithaca, 222 South Cayuga St. The cost is $20 for PRSA members and students, and $25 for non-members. Registration is available online until March 20.
Speakers include Sean Lukasik, partner with CreAgent Marketing in Corning, and Maria Strinni, communications coordinator of the Food Bank of the Southern Tier in Elmira.
Sean, who has had a 10-year career in creative marketing, will discuss how to develop compelling content on social media and how to measure its effectiveness. He will break down the anatomy of a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram post and demonstrate the best ways to get the most out of each site.
Maria, who began working in public relations in 2015, will discuss how to develop, implement and maintain an internal social media strategy that won’t monopolize your time. She will also offer tools and tips for how to make an internal strategy work and assess the outcomes.
