Considering Accreditation?
Apply for a Scholarship.

The Finger Lakes Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has established a scholarship to invest in the communication professionals in our local chapter. The APR Scholarship supports Chapter members looking to earn their Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certification from the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB).

The scholarship is offered to one candidate per year and fully covers the cost of the APR computer-based examination.

Scholarship applications must be submitted by January 15, and the scholarship recipient will be notified by February 15. The scholarship recipient will have 30 days to complete the APR application process and payment through PRSA and UAB.

Requirements for applicants:

• Must be a PRSA Finger Lakes Chapter member in good standing as of January of the current year.

• Must have five or more years of professional experience in public relations, communications, marketing or related fields;

• Must agree to take the APR computer-based exam within one year of Universal Accreditation Board application acceptance2;

• If/when the candidate earns APR certification, he/she must be willing to provide guidance and/or support to other PRSA members seeking accreditation (as available and as required by the UAB for continuing APR certification).
